Sustainable forestry: Our cutting boards are made from several sheets of FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) birch with a food-safe melamine based top coat.  FSC is an independent, international member organization that promotes responsible forestry both environmentally and socially, with global standards regulating the sourcing and handling of raw materials, protection of animal and plant life in the area, and the working conditions during harvesting.
