The Lenca tribe is one of the earliest known peoples of Honduras. Their pottery is handmade by the Lencan women of today using ancient techniques. Each unique piece stands out as one of the most impressive and original artisanries of Central America. Using low-temperature wood ovens, each Lenca handmade pottery piece is cured over several weeks and hand-polished with a stone producing a subtle sheen to its finish.
